PRIVACY STATEMENT
Hayle-Penwith U3A requires members to provide their personal information so that you can be kept informed about events and activities that are offered as part of your membership. In collecting your information, Hayle-Penwith U3A will:
- Store it securely
- Use it to communicate with you as a U3A member
- Share your information with group leaders/convenors for those groups that you are a member of
- Provide you with general information about the Third Age Trust (which is the national office to which all U3As are affiliated)
A copy of our Privacy Policy and Legitimate Interest Assessment for collection of Next of Kin/Emergency Contact details is available on request from the Secretary.
MEMBERSHIP FEES
Membership for Hayle-Penwith U3A for April 2024 to March 2025 is £12.00 (reduced as follows during the year: £10 from Nov, £9 from Dec, £8 from Jan, £7 from Feb, £6 from Mar).
The annual membership includes £4.00 membership fee paid to our national organisation, the Third Age Trust, which provides a wide range of services and benefits, including liability insurance cover. It is requested that membership fees are paid in cash or cheque made payable to Hayle-Penwith U3A.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
All members must:
- Abide by the Principles of the U3A movement
- Always act in the best interests of the U3A and never do anything to bring the U3A into disrepute
- Abide by the terms and conditions of the constitution available on the U3A website at
- Treat fellow members with respect and courtesy at all times
- Comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee
- Advise the committee of any change in your personal details
- Comply with Government, national and Hayle u3a Covid and Infection Control Guidelines
