Hello, I would like to introduce myself, my name is Joy McClean and I am the new Chairman of the Hayle U3A. Please look around our site and for any further information contact our coordinator Lisa Symons
We are a sociable group of like minded people who meet about once a week at the Hayle Day Centre Annexe in Copperhouse (Next to the Fire/Police/Ambulance Station), with ample parking in the Commercial Road car park.
We are affiliated to the national U3A Third Age Trust and are a registered charity.
Our Committee is elected annually at the AGM and meets monthly to run the group on behalf of all the members.
To reflect the varied interests of our members we have a number of groups, including art, creative writing and a social group where we normally have a speaker, followed by a cup of tea and a chat.
Each group has a leader who looks after its general running.
About once a month we enjoy a Lunch together at a variety of eating places, and we have the occasional day out to a place of interest.
We would love to meet anyone interested at any group activity, or get in touch through the group coordinator and should you wish to join us the subscription is £12 (until March 31st 2027). There is no age limit as U3A is open to anyone no longer in full time work.
